Here he is.... Mr. Teddy Graham.

Apologies for my weeks of not slicing and this late slice. Life with a puppy is a little more hectic than I anticipated.

I mean, I knew it would be a lot of work. But knowing something intellectually and living it physically are kind of different things. Getting a puppy in December at holiday time during a global pandemic.... Well, it comes with its challenges. But also so much joy.

Teddy Graham is a velcro dog- he follows his humans around the house. He cuddles up next to my son while he's playing on his iPad. He sits next to my daughter's feet. He snuggles in my husband's arms. His tail wags furiously when my mom comes each morning. And he licks my face when I take him out of his crate in the middle of the night.

There are more stories to tell. But for tonight- just this. Allow me to introduce you to my newest love.

Nothing like a puppy. They're like bacon, and they make everything better.

First of all? I'm sorry, but I think that dog needs to be cuter. ; )

I can only imagine how much work you have! Adopting a dog is a HUGE commitment, and puppies take so much time, attention and work.

You mention that it's a tricky time, being December and a pandemic and all. True, although experience tells me that it's never really a good time to adopt.

We adopted our girl pups together from a foster organization. It was the first Sunday in January - the day before all of us went back into school from winter break. That, as well was quite the transition!

I look forward to more hijinks and cuteness to come.

HE. IS. PRECIOUS! I so love a dog. Can I just say that the training is only hard for a little while (usually)? Teddy will learn and soon you all will settle into a routine. I have read that a lot of people adopted dogs during these pandemic times...surely because these creatures are so full of comfort and love for the sharing, as you illustrated so well here...so so so worth it (oh, that face!) <3
