I am a computer with too many tabs open
My efficiency is halted, Buffering, spinning, freezing A reset is needed but too afraid to shutdown I am a computer with too many tabs open. So that's kind of how it's going. I realized I haven't written a SOL since January 18th. I've been so regretful to miss Tuesdays but I feel so squeezed. I don't know how to get it all done. It's not a great slice, but here I am. Trying to show up and trying to write. Grace for myself and grace for all of us during busy and challenging times.

I too have been "absent" many, many weeks even if I stop by to read posts. These are indeed VERT challenging times and it is really important to give yourself the gift of grace and respect for just hanging in there!

Sometimes showing up is what we need most to get back into the groove. I also give myself grace if I miss writing. So no worries. Back in the game, then out again is fine. I love your metaphor of too many tabs open. I get it.

I will not even admit publicly how many tabs I have open on my iPad and on my desktop right now. In fact, my computer is running so slowly that I MUST shut-down. And that's good since that means I will now walk away from work, which I need to do today.

I like so much about the simplicity of your slice! I also want to thank you for your reply about Kidblog. And no need to apologize. I appreciate your reply. Fan School is a bit different but we'll figure it out. Next to opened tabs slowing down the computer, my pet peeve is computer programs getting upgraded and changed. It sounds like we are both a little tired of having to stay so flexible!

I'm up to 12 tabs right now, but in my defence many of them are SOL stories I intend to read. I think you've written a perfect slice!

Kathleen, I hear you. The word overwhelmed has been my companion for weeks. Last week, I missed SOL because one more task was too much. When writing is a passion and a soothing practice, it is a disappointment to miss time with friends. Being here with a short slice is worthy and eventful for the reader.
