"Oh you have a filter in your ear!"
My audiologist was examining my left ear. One of my hearing aid filters apparently got loose inside my ear and wedged itself down inside the ear wax. Gross and unsettling. "I'm not sure if I can get it out but I'll try. Let me get my tools." It's always my left side giving me trouble. My left eye has seriously worse vision than my right eye. My left ear has significantly worse hearing than the right ear. And now it has a filter stuck in it too. My audiologist was able to get the filter out but it took some poking and prodding and now my ear feels sensitive and sore. Do you have a stronger side of your body or a side that tends to be the one that lets you down?

Your honesty and openness to life's little annoying things always makes your blog posts so genuine. I, personally, cannot rely on my legs. A few years ago I had meniscus surgery, and so occasionally my knee gives me pause. When my knee acted up a few months ago, I fell and sprained the ankle on the other foot. And recently I stubbed my pinky toe, making wearing shoes for walking uncomfortable. When all is in tact, I am one happy walker. Good luck with your sore ear, dear Kathy.

Both sides seem to be operating comparably, as far as I can tell. That said, I've heard that the left side has a sinister reputation. https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/sinister-left-dexter-right-history#:~:text=Sinister%2C%20today%20meaning%20evil%20or,and%20images%20depicting%20Eve%20on
