Speaking your truth sometimes has a cost.
But staying silent isn't really a choice, right? The people-pleaser, good-girl in me is afraid of being yelled out, making others unhappy and uncomfortable. But I'm almost 40. And maybe it's time to grow up? Tonight might be sleepless.

You go girlfriend!!! Im proud of you for speaking your truth. Our profession is filled with such big hearted people that want to please and build others up but sometime we need to roar too. Have a cup of herbal or a glass of wine and sleep well.

"Well behaved women seldom make history." - Laurel Thatcher Ulrich...and while your speaking up may not be about making history in big ways, you're rewriting your own in the moments you do. From one good-girl and people pleaser to another, keep speaking up. It's never easy, but it gets easier, and you'll respect yourself a lot more when you do! I've decided my 40s are about finding my rebel and letter her roar!
